Kimberly's Story
Wife To Rock Musician Greg Since 1990, Mom to Super Gifted Aspie/ADD Son Hunter Since 1994, Born Curious, Genealogist, Photographer, Wanderlust
I had lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas Metroplex all of my life until 2014. As for my genealogical heritage, I am the proverbial melting pot... Scottish, English, German, Scandanavian, and so far still unproven Native American ancestry.
I am a super proud Mom to a gifted Aspie son who is a Nerdfighter, musician, movie buff, voice artist, geek, gamer, writer, poet, philosopher, LOST enthusiast, chess player, Rubiks cube solver, that studied music, radio, television, and film at University of North Texas in Denton and aspires to work in the field of music or do something using his voice.
I am super blessed and have been happily married for over 25 years and we have still continued to have lots of life changes since 2012. After living in Keller for all of Hunter's 12 years of school, we sold our home to downsize and help my work commute, which went from 65 miles to 28 miles a day ...Expand for more
when we moved to a Las Colinas 3-story town-home apartment for 2 years.
Then after losing my brother on August 13, 2013 at the age of 42, I made a decision & eturned to college taking 3 classes that Fall & starting 3 more classes that Spring. Furthermore I stepped out of my comfort zone by changing positions at the phone company. One of those 7 jobs I put transfers in for, led me to Waco, Texas where I found a sweet apartment in the country yet my commute is now less than 10 miles a day, so now we have 2 residences.
I am now finally happier than ever with my career at AT&T. I stay busy every day but I go home fulfilled & a good tired at night. It does involve a variety of different tasks, being a self-starter, being organized, & working well under pressure, but this is where I thrive. I finally feel my new job is important significant, I feel very appreciated by everyone I work for & with, and after 15 years of being here, 95% of the time I finally look forward to going to work. Now I Know What It Means To Work Hard, Play Hard.
